Associate Professor Dan’s area of expertise is photonics, nanoelectronics and single atom electronics. His research projects include the control of single dopants at large scale, the development of nanowire bipolar phototransistors, the investigation of nanowire surface trap states.
He started his research activity in 2003 as a PhD student in Electrical and Systems Engineering, University of Pennsylvania, continued in 2008 as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University and from 2012 occupies a position of Associated Professor at UM-SJTU Joint Institute, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.
He is author or co-author of more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals and was awarded many times for his research activity.
