Victor A. Nadtochenko is a director of N. Semenov Federal Research Center of Chemical Physics RAS and a full professor of Chemical Physics at Moscow Physical – Technical University (MPhTI), Moscow.

His present research interests include photochemistry, photobiology, photocatalysis, and femtosecond laser spectroscopy of supramolecular systems, nanostructures, and photoactive proteins.

His scientific career started at the Institute of Chemical Physics Academy of Sciences USSR 1976. He received a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics in 1979 from Moscow Physical-Technical University (MPhTI), Moscow, and Dr. Sc. in Physical Chemistry in 2000 from the Institute of Problems of Chemical Physics RAS, Chernogolovka. He held the position of head of the Laboratory of Photodynamics of Nanostructures in Institute of Problem of Chemical Physics, RAS, Chernogolovka before the appointment as a director of N. Semenov Federal Research Center of Chemical Physics Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow 2017. He was a guest scientist and invited professor at EPFL Lausanne, Switzerland, CNRS-UNIVERSITE PARIS NORD 13, France, Humboldt-University, Institute Chemistry, Berlin, Germany, Norwich, Nitrogen Fixation Lab., John Innes Centre, UK.

He has given about 30 presentations in international conferences and has authored over 260 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and five patents.
