Professor Stefan Antohe’s research activity at University of Bucharest deals with basic experimental research in the fields of condensed matter, physics of semiconductors, electrical and photoelectrical properties of organic semiconductor thin films.

His research team has expertise in the preparation and characterization of the inorganic and organic thin films for organic photovoltaic cell, organic field-effect transistors, organic – on inorganic diodes, and in the study of the polycrystalline semiconductor thin films from AII-BVI compounds, effect of ionizing radiations on the physical properties of the semiconducting thin film, physics of nanostructures.

Professor Stefan Antohe is the author or co-author of more than 200 papers, 6 chapters in international monographs, acquired 2 patents, 60 international invited lectures and seminars, more than 50 competitive research projects from which 4 international, 22 books or chapters of books.

He held the positions of dean of Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest (2006-2011) and of President of Physics Commission on National Council for Awarded of Title, Diploma (2016-2020).
