Professor and vice-dean at the Faculty of Chemical Technology, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic


Professor Němec completed his doctoral studies in Chemistry and Technology of Inorganic Materials in 2002 at the University of Pardubice. In 2006 he was appointed as Associate Professor in Inorganic Chemistry. Since 2010 he has been head of the Department of Graphic Arts and Photophysics of the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the University of Pardubice. Since 2011 he has been vice-dean of the Faculty of of Chemical Technology. In 2015 he was appointed as Professor of Chemistry and Technology of Inorganic Materials.

He is involved in the study of solids. At present he deals mainly with non-crystalline materials with focus on amorphous thin films. His research focuses on advanced deposition techniques of film fabrication, such as pulsed laser deposition.
