Head of Materials Theory, Department of Astronomy and Physics, Uppsala University, Sweden
Professor Olle Eriksson received a PhD degree in 1989 from Uppsala University, Sweden. After a post-doc period at Los Alamos National Laboratory, he became first Assistant Professor, and later Associate Professor, before he became full Professor 1999, at Uppsala University. His research interests focus on electronic structure theory, including electron correlations and spectroscopy. He is also active in the theory of magnetism and the development of microscopic spin-Hamiltonians from first principles theory, and their applications in magnetization dynamics. Professor Olle Eriksson‘s research activity is reflected by the 750 published papers, two books, and 6 book chapter in his research field.
