Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser, Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH), Heraklion, Greece
Prof. Ioannis N. Remediakis employs electronic structure theory, multi-scale simulations and data-driven approaches to unravel structure-property relationships of advanced materials. Applications include low-dimensional systems with applications to nano-chemistry (shape and properties of metal nanoparticles, heterogeneous catalysis) and nanophysics (two-dimensional semiconductors, nanostructured solids).
Before joining University of Crete (2008) and FORTH (2017), he had held research/teaching appointments at Harvard University, the University of Ioannina and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).
