Prof. Dr. Cesiulis’ area of expertise is applied electrochemistry and thermodynamics. He works in fields of metals and alloys electrodeposition, enforced corrosion, photoelectrochemistry of oxides and sulphides, metals leaching in and recovery from the environmentally friendly solutions. He developed a concept for the induced co-deposition of tungsten and molybdenum alloys with iron group metals. He proposed to use metals foams for electrowinning processes.

He is author or co-author of more than 70 papers in peer-reviewed journals; this papers are cited more than 1400 times. He developed with company an environmentally friendly technological chain for metals recovery from electric and electronic waste. He participates in equipment design process for this technology.

He has been the supervisor of 17 national and international research projects. He established scientific collaboration with more than 10 countries. He gave a number of invited lectures in Europe and US.
