Florencio Sánchez, PhD in Physics from University of Barcelona, is a Research Scientist at the Institut de Ciencia de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB), Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). His research activities have been pivoted around the development of functional oxide thin films and their integration into epitaxial complex heterostructures, with particular interest in the integration with silicon. Currently, his main interest is focused on epitaxial ferroelectric HfO2.
He has given about 90 presentations in international conferences and has authored over 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals, two physics textbooks, and two patents. He is serving as the editor-in-chief of IOP Nano Express, the session editor-in-chief MDPI Nanomaterials, and the deputy editor-in-chief of IET Nano & Micro Letters, and is an Editorial Board member of several journals.
