Dr. Flaviu Turcu has extensive experience in the research, academic, business, and government arenas of science and technology.
Dr. Flaviu Turcu has interdisciplinary research experience gained over a decade of work in different groups/countries form Europe (Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands; CNRS Orleans, France; NICPB, Tallinn, Estonia; Bruker Corp. Ettlingen, Germany) and North America (University of Lethbridge, Lethbridge Canada; Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, NM USA; Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Richland, WA USA).
He and the members of his research group are focused on development of new technologies for Magnetic Resonance (MR) in general and in situ capabilities like tuneable pressure and temperature MAS NMR, EPR, DNP, electrical charging/discharging MAS NMR, fluid tunable pressure and flow MRI at variable temperature.
Performing resonance magnetic investigations, he and his collaborators made important contributions to the study of the structure of advanced materials and to the study of the interactions that take place in the solid state, respectively at the solid interface.
