Scientific profiles



His current research interests are in the field of emerging memories and computing devices exhibiting resistive switching as well as in sensors made on flexible substrates using nanoparticles as building blocks.
He holds an Electrical Engineering diploma from NTUA and a PhD from the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INPG), France. He has worked as a Research Scientist at NCSR Demokritos for 15 years before joining in 2002 NTUA as a professor where he has established the postgraduate Diploma on ‘Microsystems and Nanodevices’ that he has directed till 2009. From 2009-2012 he was Director of the Institute of Microelectronics, NCSR ‘Demokritos’.
He has been Chairman of the Simulation of Semiconductor Processes and Devices Conference in 2001 and of European Solid State Device Research Conference in 2009 both held in Athens. He has participated in numerous European and national projects in the area of microsystems and nanoelectronic devices and he has authored or co-authored over 170 journal publications in these fields.
