Professor, Head of Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Comenius University Bratislava, Slovakia

Daniela Uhríková is currently professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy and head of Department of Physical Chemistry of Drugs at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Comenius University Bratislava. She is leading the Department research oriented on lipid systems, models of biological membranes, lipid-based drug delivery using numerous experimental methods including small-angle X-ray and neutron scattering. From the study of interactions of lipid bilayers with amphiphilic molecules she switched to lipid-based DNA delivery systems. Presently her research is focused on physico-chemical aspects of the interaction of pulmonary surfactant with molecules of drugs, including antivirals against SARS-CoV-2.

She is author or co-author of more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals, cited more than 850 times. She presented results of research at many international conferences and seminars as invited and contributed talks. She has led and been involved in numerous national and international funded projects. She has been supervisor of more than 40 magister diploma theses and 8 PhD students in the field of biophysics and pharmacy.
