Dr. Cristian Ursu, permanent research scientist at the “Petru Poni” Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry since 2014, earned his PhD in physics in 2010 from the “Al. I. Cuza” University and the University of Lille.
His main research interests include nanosecond laser ablation plasma characterization, PLD of transparent and conductive oxide thin films and investigation of their structural, morphological, and optical features, excimer laser induced photochemical and physical polymer surface modifications, and design of dielectric elastomer transducers through metallic nanostructured thin films deposition by PLD.
His current research interest includes the development of porous semiconductor-based film photocatalysts onto flexible polymers by using PLD and Laser Annealing techniques. He had over 20 oral communications at international conferences and published 34 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals.
