Theoretical Physics III, Center for Electronic Correlation and Magnetism, Institute for Physics, University of Augsburg, Germany
Dr. Andreas Östlin received a PhD degree in 2015 from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. Since then, he is a post-doc at the University of Augsburg, Germany. His research interests focus on electronic structure theory, including electronic correlations and disorder. He has combined dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT) with density-functional theory, in order to model realistic materials. In recent years, he has been looking into the combined effect of electronic interactions and disorder, with an emphasis on effective medium theories. He has over 15 articles published in scientific journals and is a regular contributor at international conferences.
